Diakonisches Werk Berlin Stadtmitte e.V – In November 2017 we were invited to present the EPYC project on a Young Carers conference organized by “wir pflegen e.V. AG JUMP” in Hamburg. The conference was open to the public and was well attended.

We also had the chance to present our brochure “Students with caring responsibilities – a field manual for teachers and social workers with tools for practical support” which we now distribute to schools and other institutions working with children, adolescents and young adults.

The brochure includes background information on Young Carers, practical advice on how to make schools and institutions more “Young Carer friendly” and tools for support for example assessments, questionnaires, self-assessments and a list of institutions specialized in supporting Young Carers and their families.
